George has worked in the crop protection industry since 1982 in the research, development and commercialisation of a wide range plant protection products for arable cropping, fruits and vegetables. George has been involved with a number of Industry task groups, has co-authored some of the current guidelines for resistance management in New Zealand and published papers in the New Plant Protection Journal and other peer reviewed journals.

Matthew joined Etec from the regulatory world. He has worked at the Environmental Protection Authority (formerly Environmental Risk Management Authority) for over six years. During that time he held a variety of roles, but his most recent experience was working in the hazardous substances team, assessing applications to import agrichemicals.
Andy Bastin

In the early Andy was born and bred in London. In 1986 he joined the navy for 5 years specializing in communications and enjoyed traveling the world. 1990s he left for a career in Logistics Management for the food retailer Budgens. During this time he undertook various roles including project management/operations and transport planning management to name a few. In 2004 he got itchy feet and he and his wife decided to bring his two daughters over to New Zealand. Once settled he joined The Warehouse as Department Manager at the Distribution Centre. He came to Etec Crop Solutions as Logistics Manager in 2006 and manages the day to day running of our logistics operation.

Kaye was born and educated in Nelson, before moving to Upper Hutt to work. She relocated to Auckland in 1989 and fulfilled roles in Credit Control and IT Support before joining Etec in 2007 as Administration Manager based in the Pakuranga office.

Pieter came to New Zealand in 2008 from the agricultural industry in southern South Africa. Prior to starting with Etec in 2015 he has held technical field sales and area manager roles throughout the North Island of New Zealand. His passion for finding solutions and sharing information with growers and retailers is what inspires him. In 2015 he gained New Zealand citizenship and is a passionate supporter of the All Blacks. He enjoys the challenges associated with the diverse agricultural industry in the North Island.

David has been in the horticulture industry since 1990. Prior to joining Etec in 2001, David held roles in customer services and technical sales with a crop protection retailer and is our Regional Manager based in Hastings. Helping customers solve problems, seeing products working first hand and achieving positive results is what motivates David.

Pete is a born Cantabrian with strong links to the region despite living the last 30 years in Nelson. He has worked in the crop protection and vegetable seed industries for all his career. His roles over this time have included research and sales. He says it is good to have the technical background with the complexities that are part of our industry. With his current role he regularly works throughout Canterbury, Marlborough and the West Coast regions and has been with Etec since 2005.

Mike started in the Arable Industry in 1975. Since then he has held a variety of roles in the grain, seed and crop protection industries. During this time he has enjoyed seeing both the wholesale and retail sides of the industry before joining Etec Crop Solutions in 2007 as Southern SI Sales Manager based in Christchurch.
