Arysta Lifescience acquired Etec Crop Solutions (formerly known as Elliott Technologies and Elliott Chemicals Limited) 1 June 2018
Arysta LifeScience NZ was born out of the need to solve pest, disease, weed and other problems for NZ farmers with innovative Crop Solution products. By scouring the world for speciality products a major contribution has been made to NZ Agriculture. Over three decades of serious investment in Research and Development has resulted in a very diverse portfolio of niche and speciality ‘problem solving’ crop solutions.
Arysta LifeScience has a strong technical presence and portfolio across most crop sectors in the Horticultural, Pastoral and Arable sectors. The crop solutions focus includes markets such as; Grapes, Kiwifruit, Potatoes, Onions, Brassicas, Green Vegetables, Pip and Stone fruits, Citrus, Avocados, Squash, Process field crops, Market Garden crops, and a large range of Pastoral, Arable, Forage and Seed Production Crops. We also service the Forestry, Turf, and Aquatic weed control sectors.
Arysta LifeScience and legacy company has proven track record of bringing many new innovative products to market. It has a substantial ongoing research and development investment, committing a significant percentage of turnover to research. This commitment offers the opportunity to not only expedite registrations for new products but also extend label claims to other crops and uses, to maximise opportunities in the NZ market.
There is a wealth of experience in product positioning in a crowded New Zealand market. The company draws on its extensive international network of technical and commercial contacts to help this process. Relationships with local universities, Crown Research Institutes and international manufacturers are strong, ensuring the company makes product selection and investments that is compatible with market trends such as "100% Pure", "Kiwi Green" and "Integrated Fruit Production programmes".
Arysta LifeScience New Zealand is a member of our industry group AGCARM and has a strong focus on sustainable agriculture. We are a member of the AgRecovery® plastic packaging recycling programme and has a growing number of products Biogro® approved for Organic use.
The acquisition of Etec by Arysta dramatically strengthens the company. It extends the global reach, increases the pipeline and resources and adds a complimentary range of established products. In conjunction with its distribution partners Arysta NZ looks forward to a bright future serving NZ farmers.
